Needlework plays an important role in this final step, where the fabric is stitched along the edges using various finishing techniques, such as overlock stitching or binding. These techniques help secure the loose threads at the edges and enhance the overall structural integrity of the band.

Some manufacturers may also choose to apply a decorative stitch along the edges of the elastic band to improve its visual appeal, particularly in fashion or decorative applications. These stitches can be functional and decorative at the same time, adding an extra layer of refinement to the craftsmanship.
